The Northants faithful were treated to a masterclass at the County Ground on Sunday, where Ben Sanderson took a career best match haul of 11-109 to seal a thumping win over Worcestershire and elevate the hosts to the promotion zone in the Championship table.
They would not be there but for Sanderson.
You may remember that he contributed with six wickets and 35 balls of batting for four not out alongside George Bartlett in Northamptonshire's second innings, helping to engineer a crucial draw in the season opener against Lancashire. Northants ended the game battered, miles adrift but still alive on 213-9 after 100 overs.
