Pace bowler Raphy Weatherall has signed a contract extension with Northamptonshire which will keep him at the club until at least the end of the 2028 season.

The news comes towards the end of a notable year for the 21-year-old, who has remained injury-free all season after his previous two summers were cut short by stress fractures. Weatherall also graduated from university this summer, meaning he will now be available full-time.

Speaking about his new deal, Weatherall said: “This year has been a material year for me in that I graduated from my law degree at Exeter University in June.

“At a personal level I have worked meticulously on my fitness and strength, and I’m delighted to have remained injury free throughout the season.
