Willey signs new three-year deal as Steelbacks captain looks to build on progress

Steelbacks T20 captain David Willey has signed a new three-year contract extension and says he’s hungry to build on the progress the club have made over the past four years.
Willey makes his 134th T20 appearance for Northamptonshire against Essex tomorrow night, eclipsing Alex Wakely’s previous record of 133. The Northampton-born all-rounder stands as the club’s all-time leading T20 wicket-taker too.
But it isn’t personal records that are driving Willey as he spoke about his new deal which will run until the end of 2029.
