‘Underdogs win as well’ – Ripley urges Steelbacks to keep Finals Day dream alive

Steelbacks Women head coach David Ripley is backing the county to cause an upset against Tier 1 Essex in today’s Vitality T20 County Cup quarter-final at Wantage Road – and hopes as many fans as possible will be there to support the team.
Ripley has called on his players to be positive, express themselves and make a statement as they chase the dream of a place at Finals Day at Emirates Old Trafford next Saturday, 29 August.
“It's going to be really exciting,” said Ripley. “I'd like to think it's a bit of pressure off. Just go out and express yourself, try and have a good day, try and catch the eye, try and get one of their best players out.
