Nathan McSweeney was named player of the series after Australia A completed a 2-1 victory in their three-match unofficial ODI series against India A today.

India A’s 49-run win in today’s third ODI in Puducherry was something of a consolation prize after the tourists won the first two matches. McSweeney scored a match-winning 123 in the opening encounter, crediting his time at Northamptonshire for helping him develop his 50-over game.

The Australian captaincy was shared across the three matches with McSweeney picking up the reins in the second ODI to lead his country to an emphatic 69-run victory on Friday. Australia A posted 275 with McSweeney run out for 32 before India A were bowled out for 206.
