James Sales and Saif Zaib have both been named in a 14-player squad for the Professional County Club Select XI to play a three-day fixture against Pakistan Men.

The match, which is a warm-up for Pakistan ahead of their Test series with England, begins at Beckenham tomorrow, Thursday 13 August.

Their selection also suggests both remain in the thoughts of the England pathway selectors. Sales was released early from an England Lions squad earlier this year, while Zaib missed out on Lions selection after a run of dazzling form in the Championship last summer.

Mike Yardy will step in as head coach, with the squad including a mix of young talent and players with international and domestic experience. Sussex all-rounder Tom Haines will captain the side.
