Northamptonshire are set to face Pakistan international spinner Noman Ali when they return to County Championship action at Old Trafford later this month.
Lancashire announced today that they have signed Ali for the remainder of the 2026 County Championship season, with the slow left-arm bowler likely to make his bow for the Red Rose against Northamptonshire from 20 August.
Since making his Test debut in 2021, Ali, 39, has been in devastating form, taking over 100 wickets at an average of 25.08, including a career-best 8 for 46 against England. He became the first Pakistan spinner to take a Test hat-trick, achieving the feat against West Indies in 2025.
