Moulton Project Dropped as Brixworth Becomes Centrepiece of Northamptonshire Cricket Growth Strategy

Northamptonshire has scrapped plans to build a £13 million second home at Moulton to the north-west of the town.
Instead, in a significant shift, Brixworth Cricket Club is at the centre of a major new strategy to help grow participation and engagement across the game in the county.
The news comes as Brixworth Cricket Club secured its long-term future through the purchase of its ground by a new company led by the club and supported by Northamptonshire’s charitable arm, the Steelbacks Foundation.
This arrangement safeguards the Northampton Road site for cricket and community use for generations to come. It cements the club’s role at the heart of the local community as a cornerstone of grassroots cricket, while building on its proud history and strong membership.
