Gemma Marriott’s Steelbacks side get their Vitality Blast campaign underway at Worcester tomorrow with head coach David Ripley naming a 13-player squad.
The Steelbacks have found strong form in T20 cricket already this season, booking a place in the third round of the County Cup with comprehensive wins over Tier 3 sides Herefordshire and Bedfordshire & Huntingdonshire.
While Worcestershire, as a fellow Tier 2 side, should represent tougher opposition, Marriott told The Steeler last week that the side is targeting a place at Finals Day after just missing out last summer.
Chloe Hill is expected to take back the gloves in the absence of Emma Gibbs tomorrow, while seamers Bethan Robinson and Mabel Reid both return to the squad.
