Lehmann hails 'excellent' Steelbacks after record-breaking Essex victory

The Steelbacks staged a batting display for the ages against Essex on Friday as boundaries rained down on Wantage Road, the hosts amassing a colossal 238 for six before skittling the visitors for just 108.
For men’s head coach Darren Lehmann, it was close to the perfect performance.
It was a decisive victory by 130 runs as records tumbled. It was not only the Steelbacks' seventh straight victory in this year's competition but also the largest winning margin by runs in the county's T20 history.
Chris Lynn set the pace with 75 off 37 balls in an opening stand of 98 with Ricardo Vasconcelos – the pair posting 85 without loss in the powerplay – the highest ever for the Steelbacks.
