Honoured McSweeney vows to do Northamptonshire cap justice

Nathan McSweeney says he is truly honoured to become only the eighth Australian cricketer to be awarded a Northamptonshire county cap and says he hopes to do it justice for a long time to come.
McSweeney, who has scored more than 1,400 runs across all formats for Northamptonshire since arriving at Wantage Road in April, was presented with his cap by former Northamptonshire captain Roy Virgin before play against Kent on Thursday.
He joins such luminaries as Matthew Hayden and Mike Hussey and acknowledged that the county cap system was not something experienced by Australian domestic cricketers, making the honour even more special.
