Harry Conway is set to make a welcome return to Wantage Road for tomorrow’s Rothesay County Championship match against Gloucestershire.
The crowd-favourite Australian fast bowler made a huge impact during his six-match stint for the Steelbacks earlier this season, forging a potent new-ball partnership with Ben Sanderson and snaring 26 wickets at an average of 22.92.
With Conway playing on a five-year ancestry visa through his Scottish grandmother, head coach Darren Lehmann was keen to explore options to bring him back in the future.
Now, with Lehmann likely to rotate his bowlers after a busy Blast schedule, Conway will provide an additional match-winning bowling option and a boost to a side looking to cement their place near the top of the Division Two table.
