George Scrimshaw admitted the adrenaline was pumping when he bowled the final over in Northamptonshire’s nail-biting three-run victory over Glamorgan at the cinch County Ground, Wantage Road on Friday night.

Glamorgan all-rounder Dan Douthwaite had gone on the offensive, hitting five enormous sixes to drag his side back into contention. It left the visitors needing 10 to win off the final over.

Scrimshaw, who finished with figures of 3 for 33, said he looked across to Chris Lynn for reassurance as he got ready to bowl.
