Head coach David Ripley has praised Amelia Kemp and Ava Clive, for overcoming early nerves to steer Steelbacks Women to a convincing nine-wicket victory over Herefordshire at Wantage Road yesterday.
The pair shared an unbroken 98-run partnership as the Steelbacks kicked off their knockout T20 County Cup campaign and booked their place in the second round. All-rounder Kemp struck 54 off 42 balls with eight fours and a six, while 17-year-old debutant Clive finished on 37 off 35 balls.
