Northamptonshire Steelbacks 50-over skipper Nathan McSweeney hit a commanding 88 to set up a five-wicket victory against Warwickshire in the Metro Bank One Day Cup at Wantage Road.
The victory saw the Steelbacks quickly reset just three days after lifting the Vitality Blast trophy on Saturday evening and continue their winning run. The result was even more impressive given a number of players from Saturday’s triumph were away on duty in The Hundred. But all those who came into the side stepped up and made important contributions.
