Northamptonshire’s were dismissed for just 143 in the 20th over when they batted first in their Vitality Blast semi-final against Somerset at Edgbaston.
Their runs were in thanks in large part to a 65-run stand for the fourth wicket between Chris Lynn and Saif Zaib.
Lynn struck 39 off 26 balls, smashing three sixes and three fours, while Zaib made 26.
The pair came together after was Ricardo Vasconcelos and Nathan McSweeney were both given out lbw after Somerset reviewed the on-field not out decisions. David Willey then fell cheaply striking down the ground.
