Chris Lynn’s remarkable career-best century stole the headlines at Edgbaston today, propelling the Steelbacks to a thrilling seven-wicket win over Warwickshire Bears. Along the way, he became the quickest man to score 1,000 runs for the county in the Vitality Blast, while helping secure the club’s highest successful run chase in T20 cricket.
Though for Lynn, who finished unbeaten on 115 off just 59 balls, it was Ben Sanderson’s final over with the ball that set up the victory, the Steelbacks’ fourth straight win at the start of this year’s campaign.
