Any residual disappointment at being released by England Lions without featuring against South Africa A was rapidly pushed aside for James Sales last night. The Northamptonshire all-rounder responded in style with career-best T20 figures of five for 21 against Gloucestershire.
The visitors' top order was blown away at Wantage Road as Sales claimed the best figures of his fledgling T20 career. The smile on his face spoke volumes as he revelled in the electric atmosphere generated by his performance in front of a packed cinch County Ground.
