As Northamptonshire keeper-batter Chloe Hill prepares to face her former county Worcestershire at Wantage Road tomorrow, she says the Steelbacks are firing at exactly the right time with everything to play for in the final weeks of the season.

Hill starred with a career-best 93 in Northamptonshire comprehensive win over Middlesex at Radlett last weekend. The visitors posted 298 for eight and then bowled their hosts out for 193 to win by 105 runs.

The Steelbacks currently sit in third place in the Metro Bank One Day Cup League 2 table with two group-stage games remaining and a real chance of a place in the knockout stages. Then, on Sunday 23 August, they face Essex in the quarter-finals of the Vitality T20 Women's County Cup at Wantage Road.
