Ben Sanderson is the definition of a fine wine. His skill and control have both improved with age, so much so that he already has 39 Championship wickets to his name this year.
Now 37, he has been one of the most consistent wicket-takers in the four-day format over the past decade since David Ripley gave him a second chance of a county career in 2015.
But after starring in the Steelbacks’ 2016 T20 Blast triumph, he’s also become the linchpin of the T20 bowling line-up too, no more so than in recent years.
