David Willey has called on the Steelbacks to be ruthless in this year’s Vitality Blast and maintain momentum throughout the competition.
The Blast gets underway in a heatwave at the cinch County Ground, Wantage Road, tomorrow night with a clash against Glamorgan and the skipper wants his side to learn lessons from last year’s campaign.
Northants enjoyed an opening run of six runs last year but had to make up ground after faltering mid-tournament and losing their next five games. They finally sealed qualification for the knockout stages and ultimately booking a berth at Finals Day.
