Steelbacks overseas: Northants players in Canada and India

The English summer may be over but many of Northamptonshire’s players are already in action overseas. In the first in a regular series of updates throughout the winter, we take a look at some of the highlights of the past week.

Canada Super 60

Several current and former Northamptonshire Steelbacks stars are taking part in this year’s Canada Super 60 franchise tournament.

The T10 competition, now in its second year has returned to BC Place, Vancouver and kicked off just 48 hours after the end of the English season with matches scheduled from September 29 to October 4.

Saif Zaib returns to the tournament having featured in its inaugural edition last year. He is playing again for Mississauga Masters under the captaincy of former Steelback overseas all-rounder Sikander Raza and alongside former Northamptonshire teammate Richard Gleeson.
