Canada Super 60

Ben Sanderson starred with the ball in his third white-ball final of 2026, but it was not enough to prevent his Vancouver Anchors side losing by five wickets in this year’s Canada Super 60 franchise tournament.

Sanderson, who won the Vitality Blast with the Steelbacks and finished runner-up with Trent Rockets in The Hundred, was taking part in the Canadian T10 series at BC Place, Vancouver for the first time.

Batting first, South African Obus Pienaar and skipper Moeen Ali propelled Vancouver’s total to 164 for three off their 10 overs. In the chase, Sanderson removed the dangerous West Indian pair Kieron Pollard and Nicholas Pooran to leave Toronto Sixers on 131 for four in the eighth over, but Australian international Daniel Sams saw his side home with three sixes on a ground with particularly short straight boundaries.
