Northamptonshire have handed one-year contract extensions to all-rounder Gus Miller and left-arm fast bowler Tiaan Louw which will see both players remain at Wantage Road until at least the end of 2027.

However, the club has announced Aadi Sharma and Arush Buchake will depart the club when their contracts expire at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, former India international leg-spinner Yuzi Chahal, who played three stints for Northamptonshire over the past three seasons, has announced his retirement from first-class cricket. Men’s head coach Darren Lehmann, however, has said he is keeping Chahal in his thinking as he plans ahead for next summer’s One Day Cup campaign.
