Northamptonshire’s batting collapsed against Kent in the Metro Bank One Day Cup at Canterbury, ultimately handing the hosts victory by five wickets.
Despite Ricardo Vasconcelos, Nathan McSweeney and George Bartlett each posting their second half-centuries of the campaign, the Steelbacks lost seven wickets for 43 in the last eight overs of their innings. They were dismissed for 253, with 11 balls remaining from their 50 overs.
Harry Finch top-scored with 85 and despite 3 for 44 from Luke Procter and 2 for 49 from Yuzi Chahal, Kent eased home with two overs remaining, Chris Benjamin finishing unbeaten on 55.
