Kemp says busy summer is paying dividends after maiden List A century

Amelia Kemp’s first List A century on Sunday has come amid the busiest season yet for the 22-year-old Northamptonshire all-rounder.
Opening the batting, Kemp struck 107 off 115 balls against Leicestershire in League 2 of the Metro Bank One Day Cup, the match ultimately ending in a thrilling tie at Wantage Road.
Kemp’s standout 2025 season for Steelbacks Women in the T20 Blast was rewarded when she was signed by the Tier 1 Yorkshire Academy ahead of this summer.
As a result, she has spent the summer crisscrossing the country, playing regularly midweek before returning to Northampton for county games on Sundays. It’s been a whirlwind but, she says, the increased opportunities have boosted her game.
